How Was Cleen Born?
When Fabrice (CEO) is in their home country of France, like millions of people, they use an app that provides sustainability and health information on products.
This app has driven large CPG brands to discontinue entire product lineups. However, Fabrice felt that there is a lack of shared progress and saw an opportunity to leverage social recognition.
This spark grew into Cleen's mission - bringing community, celebration, and fun into green shopping. In my past ventures, Fabrice has utilized the power of social recognition, and is now focused on applying this to one of the most pressing challenges we face as humans.

Why Now?
Consumer spending is responsible for 65% of global emissions. While green shopping is growing rapidly, it still lacks mass appeal.
Why? Consumers do not believe that their individual choices can lead to systemic change. No top-of-mind eco-shopping platform has emerged yet, even as the effects of global warming become more evident. In 2023, the climate crisis has become a dominant topic in the media for the first time.
